biscuit illustrations

After creating the food illustration I thought I would do it again but this time with biscuits, rice paper, writing icing and food colouring.

I first tried to ice straight onto the biscuit but I thought it looked too much with the texture of the biscuits and the icing.

I then tried writing icing on the rice paper and added that onto the biscuit. I liked the white background as the colour sat better and didn't blend into the brown background of the biscuit. However I thought that the writing icing goes shiny and runny and that it would be neater to use food colouring.
